Black Jennet w/no visible stripe!
DOB:  1/05/06 @ 4am
Birth Height: 22"

Sire:  Sunset Acres Rowdy Yates, 32" Black no visible cross
Grand Sire: Hartmans Donkey Trenton, 33½" Brown/White Spot
Grand Dam: BJ Black Beauty, 32¾" Black

Dam:  Heinken's Ark Lucia, 33½" Black w/NLP
Grand Sire: Heinken's Ark Top Gun, 29" Dark Brown
      Grand Dam:   Windsong's Louise, 32¾" Black w/NLP

Izzy is a blue/black with light points and no visible stripe. She is really, really black! A very straight girl who is a full sister to a black jack, KKR Good As Gold, that I showed at The 2004 Tennessee State Fair and who won Grand Champion Jack against all ages when he was only 6 months old! I knew she was going to be a nice donkey the day she was born. She just had that 'look' about her. She has a really pretty head, beautiful, straight legs, with perfect tracking, and is really upheaded and showy. Izzy is beautiful to watch in the pasture and the show ring.

IsaBell will be shown until she is old enough to be added to our breeding program.

News Flash! KKR IsaBell won her class and Grand Champion Junior Donkey at the ADMS Nationals in 2006. She also won Reserve Champion Jennet against all ages at the 2006 NMDA Tennessee State Fair Show. IsaBell won 1st place in the Dallas NMDA foal class, and placed 2nd in the foal class at the NMDA Nationals in Shelbyville, her first time shown!

New News Flash!!! IsaBell won the yearling class and stood Grand Champion Junior Jennet at the 2007 NMDA Nationals in Oregon!!

Dark Brown Jennet
DOB:  3/24/10
Birth Height: 21"

Sire:  Sunset Acres Rowdy Yates, 32" Black, no visible cross
Grand Sire: Hartmans Donkey Trenton, 33½" Brown/White Spot
Grand Dam: BJ Black Beauty, 32¾" Black

Dam:  Windcrest Autumn Sunrise, Dark Brown
Grand Sire: Pine Grove Farm's Peppercorn Jack, 29½" Brown
Grand Dam:  Sunset Acres Tilly, 33½" Dark Brown & White Spotted

Posey is a little show donkey. She is very heads up and always alert to everything around her. If someone was looking for a donkey to start in the show ring, Posey would be a great choice. She has the most beautiful ears like her mom, long and curved. Posey is very sweet and people oriented and will stand very quiet if you are petting her. She has beautiful conformation, and is out of one of my favorite jennets. She does show a slight cross, but has the cream colored nose, with a white chest and white between her back legs, and lots of white hairs on her underbelly. If I was not thinnning out my donkeys she would never be for sale.

Sunny is a very drafy, well built jennet. She is one of my favorites. She has a sweet disposition, shows lots of bone and is very wide in the chest and rear. I'd like to have a herd of donkeys just like her. Autumn had a jennet foal on 4/28/07! And another jennet on 3/24/10 sired by Rowdy also.

She has had one foal and is expecting her next foal on September 29th, 2010, sired by Heiken's Ark Napoleon, a 31½" dark spotted jack with no light points. This is a super nice jennet and she should have an outstanding foal bred to this jack.

This little jennet is beautiful, and her spot pattern is very flashy. I have reluctently added her to my for sale page. Abby is very drafty, with straight legs, a big round rear end and a chest to die for! She is as sweet as can be. Abby is a good mother, and is UTD on her vaccinations, wormings and hoof care. She is micro chipped and DNA typed also. Her foal last year is built like a tank and has an identical spot pattern to her. I really love this donkey. Abby has been bred to Arcadian Yogi for a March 2011 foal.

Belle is a very stocky little jennet. She is wide bodied, has good, straight legs and bone, and has the prettiest little dish face. Her summer coat is a gorgeous steel blue gray. Belle's dam was a great producer of well put together donkeys, with great temperaments. Belle has been bred to Heiken's Ark Napoleon, a 31½" dark spotted jack with no light points, for her first foal due April 2010. This should be a beautiful foal.

      Grand Dam:   R&D D&H Milly, 33½" Brown/Gray-Dun

Kruze was gelded on April 14th, 2010, and he has made a complete recovery. I still haven't decided what color of brown Kruze is going to be. He is dark under his outer coat, and has extensive white points and lots of roaning through out his coat. He has several leg garters that really make him stand out. He is very flashy and catchs your eye. Kruze is a beautiful mover and very showy. He LOVES people and reminds me a lot of his sire. Kruze is a half brother to StarLite, my favorite donkey bar none. His dam has excellent conformation and he is following in her footsteps. He is built like a tank, has extreme width in his chest and has that quarter horse butt like his mom. Plus he has a beautiful head, and great legs. I would expect him to do well in the show ring with his conformation. He is a really pretty little guy. Very chunky for 7 months, and smart and calm about everything. Loves the horses! If you're interested in Kruze come out and take a look.

This jennet is 32 inches BARELY. I am having a hard time listing this girl for sale. I just love her. This jennet is one of those donkeys that EVERYONE comments about. She is a very black /brown, with a striking white underbelly and blazed face. Party is very drafty, with good legs and a wide body. She has a cute, short & wide little head. She loves everyone, gets along with all the donkeys and she is ready to breed now. I had planned on breeding her this past fall and time slipped away and it got too cold. She cycles regularly and should have some beautiful foals.

Dam:  Wind Song's Louise, 32¾" Black w/nlp
      Grand Sire:  Windsong's Sully, 34" Gray-Dun
Grand Dam:  Windsong's Thelma, 35" Brown

Lucia is a beautiful jennet with outstanding conformation. She has the sweetest, most laid back disposition and she passes a good sound mind on to her foals. Her foals have done really well in the show ring.

Her first foal, KKR Good As Gold, has now stood Grand Champion Jack four times with limited showing.

KKR IsABell, Izzy has started her show career off with a bang. She stood Grand Champion Junior Donkey at the ADMS Nationals in 2006. And she was NMDA Junior National Champion at the NMDA Nationals, just to name a few.

KKR King's Ransom has won in halter and pre green performance classes, and in 2008 her foal Black Swede sold to Cindy Benson in Oregon. 2009 she foaled a black jennet, Rumor Has It just now starting her show career.

Lucia is an easy breeder and a wonderful mother. She is priced at $2500 bred to Circle C Zodiac, a Desperado son, for an October foal. This should be an outstanding foal, and one that should do well in halter and performance.

Harlow is a black/brown dark spot. She has a beautiful spot pattern, and a personality out of this world. Harlow has wonderful conformation, nice round butt, good straight legs, and she is wide bodied. This jennet will make a great show donkey, and a brood jennet when she is old enough. Harlow is not going to be over 31½" tall when she is mature. She is very short and feminine. Harlow should produce some beautiful spotted babies.

I just LOVE this little girl. Cookie is destined for the show ring. She has a beautiful head on her, and what a face she has. Cookie has a really stout build with a short back, and lots of bone. She is very wide in the chest, has a beautiful round butt, and good straight legs. She is super sweet, and loves people. This is a really beautiful little girl. She has black and spotted in her pedigree so if bred to a spot when she is older she could produce a spotted foal. This is one of my favorite coming two year olds, and built like what I have been breeding donkeys for.

Ten is a full sister to Ciara, NMDA Champion & Best of Breed winner, along with many other halter and performance wins. She has an awesome front and rear end on her, very full hindquarters, and has the most beautiful head you could ask for. And you couldn't ask for a sweeter, kinder temperament. You can do anything with her. She is trained for halter and trail obstacles. Ten has really matured this last year. Bred to Rowdy Yates for an April 2010 foal. This should be an outstanding cross and I think the foal will do great in the show ring.

Petals is bred to Rowdy for an October 2009 foal. I would expect this to be a black foal with a white nose. She is an easy breeder and had no trouble with foaling. Petals has the most beautiful head, short and wide in the forehead with a big star. She has a good rear end and wide chest, her legs are straight and she is as sweet as they come. Petels was shown by her breeder Dave Larson in the Yearling Jennet Halter Class at the World Miniature Donkey Show in Calgary and she placed in the top ten with no training and no previous showing experience.

Rumor is going to make a great show donkey. She is already very heads up and showy. She has that look about her just like her other brothers and sister that have done so well in the show ring. Rumor is a beautiful mover and very elegant. She has a nice full rear end, very correct legs, tracks well and has good width in her body and chest. And did I mention sweet? She loves people and came that way. Rumor is a full sister to Good As Gold, IsaBell, and Kings Ransom. Gold just got his 4th Championship Jack title with very limited showing; IsaBell is a NMDA Junior National Champion, and ADMS Champion too, along with doing well in obstacles; and Ransom has won both in halter and performance and is just now starting his driving training. I expect Rumor to follow in their footsteps. If your looking for a nice jennet to show, and one that has proven genetics over and over, you might want to look at Rumor. Show home discount.

Kevin and I have made the VERY difficult decision to sell Rowdy. It was not an easy decision for us. We have been so pleased with what he has produced and contributed to our breeding program. We have owned Rowdy since he was a 2 year old and just love him. He is a well balanced, heavy boned jack, with a beautiful, masculine head. His huge, well defined eye rings are very prominent and something he throws in all his foals. Rowdy has a beautiful, kind eye, nice round rear end and a gorgeous set of legs. His easy going temperament makes him an asset to our herd. He is easy to handle, stands great for the farrier, and has never been a problem for us. Rowdy has what I call a curly coat, and keeps this for about 7 months of the year. (see picture above). He sheds it off every year and then gets it back. What a head of hair! Now mind you we live in Texas so it's not just a winter coat. We don't get that cold. He throws this curly coat in his foals, and he also throws a super, long, thick and silky coat on them. We have been so pleased with his foals, and they are definitely taking after him. They have his beautiful head, and eye, good bone, and short, level toplines, along with those gorgeous straight legs I love so much! And, yes, his disposition too. He loves attention and most of all his butt scratches. During breeding season he is an easy going gentleman, never marking them or being super aggressive towards them. He's every breeders dream, and both pasture and hand breeds. Rowdy is very prominent for throwing blacks with no stripe and also dark brown and white spotted, and the tyger spot pattern. As far as I know he has never thrown a NLP, even when bred to NLP donkeys. We have kept several of his foals to put back in our herd and we're super happy with them. Because we have retained so many Rowdy daughters in our herd we must now reluctantly offfer him for sale. Rowdy is producing NMDA and ADMS Champions and we are really happy to see this. We have been so blessed to own him! If your looking for a proven herd sire that is producing Champions and correct conformation, along with one that is easy to handle and get along with, Rowdy may be your guy. I really love this little donkey and want him to go to a good home with someone that will give him some attention and some pretty girls. He has been very good to us. If your interested in Rowdy, and have any questions please e-mail or call (903-852-2840) and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Yogi is our newest addition to our herd. He is a good out cross to most of the bloodlines we have, and should cross great with our Rowdy daughters. He is a super little jack with one of the sweetest temperaments I have ever seen on a jack. Dispositions are very important to me and something I try to breed into my foals. He is black with a cross when not in the sun, and has extensive white points, and lots of roaning throughout his body. His head is just gorgeous, small and short, with a very refined jaw line. He is a very up headed donkey and I just love the way his head, neck and shoulders tie into one another. Yogi is more of a medium boned donkey with a beautiful stride, and he is very eye catching in the pasture. We're very proud to own him and are really looking forward to his foals starting in October of 2009.

Brown & White Spotted Jack

Merlin is turning out to be a really nice little guy. I have had him in the barn for a few weeks and he is now trained to show in halter. He walks, trots and sets up, although he is still a baby and gets antsy standing for long periods of time. Merlin will stand tied, is good for the farrier, loads in the trailer, and never moved for his body clipping, even his ears. He is sweet as can be and very trusting. Merlin has a chest to die for, with great bone, straight legs and a beautiful round butt. And the longest set of ears! Merlin has one of the prettiest spot patterns I have seen, with huge rings around both eyes. If your looking for a flashy spotted jack to show, and then use as your herd sire, you really need to look at Merlin. This is a really nice little jack. Up to date on vaccinations, wormings and has a current coggins.

33.5" Black Jennet w/no visible cross & a tiny white star
DOB:  7/16/01

Sire:  Dewey Meadows Primo, 32" Black/Brown/White Spotted
Grand Sire:  Dewey Meadows Valintino, 32.75" Dark Brown/White Spotted
Grand Dam:  Dewey Meadows Victoria, 33" Black/Brown

Dam:  MGF Venus Sienna Serenade, 33.75" Dark Brown
Grand Sire:  Sunset Acres Harry, 35" Black
Grand Dam:  Gardners Ferndale II, 33" Dark Brown

Sabrina is about as sweet and sound of a jennet as you could ask for. She has a wonderful temperament and loves people, especially children. She will let any child ride her and follows them around like a puppy! Sabrina has a set of back legs to die for and is a very up headed donkey. She throws a beautiful head on her foals, and has great width in her chest.. Sabrina is bred to Rowdy Yates for a Spring 2010 foal. She will not be able to leave for her new home until Mid June, and I can bring her to Shelbyville in July if someone purchases her back east. She is UTD on wormings, hoof trimmings and vaccinations. This is a really nice jennet, I just need to cut back a few more. Her foals are black with no stripe out of this cross, they have had a small star, and very correct conformation, and are winning in the show ring.

Gone to a new home!

This little jennet is just a doll, and is as sweet as they come. She just loves people. Ever has a baby doll head, with a short body and extremely straight legs, both front and back. Very heads up and alert. She really stands out in the pasture. Ever is very independent and keeps her mom running. Her full brother won the yearling jack class, which was a huge class and had some tough competition, and came back to win Grand Champion Junior at his first show. (3 of Rowdy's foals were in this Championship class and they were grand and reserve junior). Pretty impressive. This little girl reminds me a lot of her brother but more feminine. If your looking for a really nice donkey to show with excellent conformation, or a good future brood jennet you need to look at Ever. You won't be disappointed in her.

      Grand Sire: Garrett's Prince, 32½" Gray/White Spot
Grand Dam:  Lil Half Pint's Annie, 34" Red/Brown

Blossom is such a neat little jennet. She is bred to Rowdy Yates for an October 2009 foal. She is a great mother, and really easy breeder. Blossom has produced some awesome foals that have been Champion Halter donkeys, ACOSA winners, and performance winners. She is sweet as can be, and you can catch her anywhere in the pasture. She has a round rear end, great back legs, and pretty head. Blossom is not straight in the front legs though. She was not cared for right when she was young and her feet were horrible when I got her. This is not something she has passed on and all her foals have been extremely straight. I will only sell her to a good home. She is just very special to me. Blossom is current on her vaccinations and hoof care.

In 2003 she foaled a brown/gray and white spotted jack, KKR Cajun, now residing at Short & Sweet Donkey Ranch. Cajun has numerous wins in halter and obstacle classes, and was the National Reserve Champion ACOSA Jack in Shelbyville 2006.

Her 2004 foal, SpotCheck, sired by Sunset Acres Rowdy Yates is absolutely gorgeous. Heavy boned and very correct.

In 2006 she foaled a spotted jennet, by Rowdy again, KKR Maybelline.

Gone to a new home!

Rowdy sure put his stamp on this little guy. Solo is as sweet as they come. But out of CinderBelle how could he not be! This is a very nice little boy. Extremely straight legs with lots of width in the front and back. Short bodied and a beautiful little head. Solo's full sister is doing well in the show ring, both in halter and obstacles. And his half brother has won Championships in both halter and performance. I expect Solo to follow in their footsteps. Many great and historic names in the miniature donkey world are found in Widow's background. Black Widow is bred to Rowdy Yates for a late February foal. This should be a great cross, and a black foal. She is an excellent mother, easy breeder, and has a rear end to die for. Suede is a beautiful blue black, and such a sweetheart!. Do you know how hard it is to photograph a black donkey? They hardly show up. Suede is a full brother to Good As Gold and IsaBell, both winning NMDA Championship titles. Last years foal of this cross is Kings Ransom and he is on his way to this level along with excelling in performance. I expect Suede to follow in their footsteps. He is the 4th foal out of this cross and all of them have been built the same way when born. Very elegant and beautiful movers. Suede is very heads up, with a long set of ears. His legs are excellent, very square, and he has a beautiful chest and rear end, with a short head and wide forehead. I consider Suede to be good enough to become a herdsire. He isn't going to be a tiny donkey, but he will grow up to be stout, with awesome conformation. If your looking for a beautiful, flashy herdsire to raise, and your wanting lots of black in the pedigree, take a look at suede. He's a nice little boy, and will make a super show donkey too.

Marchi is about the most friendly donkey I have ever had in my life. Nothing scares him, he is independent, loves people, and has really nice conformation.

I named Marchi after my hectic month of March. He is sired by a very stunning, dark red jack, QM Code Red, owned by North Gate Farm, who is also a multiple halter winner, and I love his dam. This little guy shows great promise too. Marchi is a beautiful mover, with awesome straight legs and chest for a foal.

He is full bodied, has a great topline, and the most wonderful personality you could ever ask for. I was in the pasture on the tractor and Marchi at 1 week old was chasing the tractor and chewing on the tires while it was still running. I had to lock him up to get out. Come meet Marchi. You will fall in love with him. This little guy has an awesome pedigree, full of Red and dark donkeys. Marchi will be offered as a jack or gelding.

Sundance has a very correct structure, coupled with a short compact body, beautiful wide front end, and an attractive short head. His legs are as straight as can be, he tracks perfect, and has a lot of bone. He has a wonderful temperament, very gentle and calm. The pictures above are not his true color. He is very dark brown after he sheds his winter coat. This is a really nice little jack, and a pleasure to be around and handle. He is trained well enough he could go back in the show ring. Sundance will pasture or hand breed, and has a gentle enough temperament to run with foals.

His pedigree is exceptional with both his sire and dam tracing back to the Sardinian imports . His sire, Willow Creek Luigi, is a two-time ADMS National Halter Champion and an NMDA National Halter Champion. Sundance was shown as a yearling a for a short period of time.

Some photos of Sundance are compliments of Red Gate Farm.

I loved this jennet the first time I saw her. She is extremely wide in the chest and rear, has a gorgeous head, and a beautiful set of legs. Shazam has the sweetest temperament, except if your body clipping her. She absolutely hate it! She turns into another donkey that I don't want to know.

First time shown Shazam placed third in NMDA Foals at Halter, Dallas State Fair, 2005, in a class of fourteen! March 2006 Shazam placed 3rd out of a huge class of foals at the Houston Livestock Show.

Racer has a lot of bone and width in both his front and rear, a wide chest, really straight legs, with a beautiful full round rear end. He has the most gorgeous little head and throws this on his foals. To date he is throwing mostly jennet foals. He has a really nice disposition, is easy to handle, and he absolutely loves people. He hands or pasture breeds, and gets the job done. Racer has a really good pedigree, and would do really well for someone wanting to breed either blacks or sorrels. Both his sire and dam are black with no cross, and there are lots of blacks in his pedigree. He has a beautiful little head and a very up headed style about him. He moves very fluently and shows good reach. He is straight both in the front and rear legs and has a good chest and well rounded hindquarters. Plus he is as sweet as can be.       Grand Dam:  Shady Acres Muffin, 32" Gray

Chanelle is a really nice little jennet. She is an easy breeder, and never had any problems foaling, and she is a good mom. Chanelle has had both spotted and black foals. She is bred to FL Sundance Kid for a October 07 foal. People always gravitate toward her in the pasture because she is so cute! Of course if they don't, she will find them. She is a very wide bodied donkey with a beautiful rear end. I am going to be very picky as to where this little girl goes.

This jennet is absolutely gorgeous. She has been shown for a few years by a young child in halter and costume classes, and is practically unbeatable in the spotted classes. She is child and bomb proof. Miss T had trouble getting pregnant by her previous owner's jack. I have been running her with my jack, FL Sundance Kid, but I am not guaranteeing her bred because of her past. She has been started in cart and is doing really well. You can drive her in the pastures, she stands quietly for harnessing and while you're in the cart, and she is moving out in her gaits nicely. She just needs some miles. Miss T is a very drafty and correct jennet, with good width in her front and back legs, a beautiful, wide chest and back and a quarter horse rump. If your looking for a gentle donkey, or one that is started in cart, Miss T might just be the donkey your looking for. I have reduced the price of this jennet only because I really want to find her a good home. I just don't have the time to continue her training right now.

Grand Sire:  PGF Peppercorn Jack, 29.5" Brown
      Grand Dam:   R&D D&H Cinderella, 32.5" Dk Brown/White Spot

Harpie is a very wide and drafty donkey. She has a beautiful, full round butt, and big expressive eyes like her sire. I doubt she will mature bigger than 32 inches at the most. She is only 28.25 inches at 10 months old. Harpie is very sweet and loves people. Her half brother is a herdsire in Canada now and did awesome in the show ring, both in halter and obstacles. Her sire is putting some outstanding foals on the ground for me that are winning in the show ring. I have retained several jennets from 2006 which is the only reason I am offering her for sale. Harpie is not body clipped in these pictures and has a lot of her winter hair still, but she is a true black and shows no stripe.

Sunny is a beautiful jennet with an very extensive pedigree going back to the original imports with 562 ancestors on file. She is a wonderful mom, and breeds easily. Sunny has had 3 foals for me, all dark spotted with the tyger spotting factor.

This is a really nice jennet, and sweet as they come. She is easy to catch and handle, gets along with other donkeys, and very quiet natured. Sunny is built like a tank. She has a beautiful head, wide chest, and really round rear end.

I have decided to offer Roller for sale but only to the right home. This is one nice little gelding and I just love him. He has been shown in halter classes, winning the yearling gelding class at the San Antonio Show, 2nd at the NMDA Tennessee Show, and 2nd also at the Houston Livestock show. Roller is well started in obstacles, and does cones, back throughs, small jumps, sidepasses, pulls cans and tarps, does gates, among many other things. He is very sweet and eager to please, and loves to go places. He would make someone just starting out in the show ring a great little donkey. Roller has a beautiful head, and an awesome front end. He is square and alert, and just a pleasure to be around.

Monty is the love of my life, except my husband, of course. (But don't tell Monty!). He will do almost anything for me, (long walks, trail, jumps, halter, pull a cart, shake hands and count), although he is a tad bit spoiled. (That's an understatement!!!!   ***note from the webmaster) He is small and compact, and has the straightest set of legs I've ever seen. His bald face is unusual and striking, and you can't help but notice him. And if you don't, he'll make you! Thank you so much Half Ass Acres in Chapel Hill, Tennesse, for bringing my best little buddy into my life. He is part of our family!

Monty wins 4th in the adult costume class at the Nationals in 2002!! (see photo below) Monty wins 3rd in NMDA Geldings Over 2 at The Great Celebration Mule & Donkey Show in Shelbyville, Tennessee in 2003! Monty wins Reserve Grand National ACOSA Gelding in Shelbyville in 2004!!

This little guy has personality plus and is so comical to have around. He just loves people. Ranger has the most beautiful head. Small and expressive, and a set of the straightest legs I have ever seen on a donkey, with good bone. He is wide in both the front and back, has a beautiful topline, and tracks very well. Ranger is a really showy donkey, and shows lots of class. Ranger wins the NMDA Yearling Jack class in Conroe in 2006. First time shown. Way to go Ranger!

Silk is a really drafty little jennet. Lots of bone and very wide bodied. I have shown Silk twice in halter. She won 4th in the foal class out of nearly 30 entries at the 2006 NMDA Nationals her first time out and won 3rd in a large Foal/Yearling Jennet Halter Class at the 2006 NMDA Tennessee State Fair. I just don't have the time to show her along with my other donkeys I have in training. She loads, will stand for the farrier, and body clipping and is a real sweetheart. She just loves people. She is sound enough that I think she would do good in obstacles if someone worked with her. Silk does show a slight cross, but is very very dark in color. She would be a great addition to someones herd, especially if you like the drafty bodied donkeys.

I have decided to sell RG because we just don't have enough sorrel in our bloodlines to make keeping him worth our while. RG has matured into a nice jack, and has done very well in the show ring. He has been shown 3 times at NMDA shows and placed 2nd or 3rd in every class, and we have some really tough jack classes here in Texas. He pasture or hand breeds, and settles jennets quickly. RG has a soft, easy going personality and loves people. He is easy to handle, clip, loads, just an all around jack. His foals have been very full bodied, with good legs, beautiful heads, and wonderful temperments. He has produced browns, sorrel and a true sorrel and white spotted. I really hate to let him go but just don't have the space for him right now. He would be a wonderful addition to someones breeding program.

I have decided to sell my only sorrel jennet, and concentrate on the blacks and spots. Bitsy is a small, drafty little jennet with a good chest and butt. She has good conformation and a beautiful head. Her wide white blaze is very striking. Bitsy is really sweet and loves people. Her 2006 jennet foal is really nice. Bitsy is an easier keeper, breeds easily and has no trouble foaling. She would be a great addition to someones herd that was breeding sorrel. I have not bred her back yet only because we don't have foals in the summer time here in Texas. It's too hot.

NoonTime was born almost 1 1/2 months late, but it was worth the wait. He is a really sweet baby, and loves people. We nicknamed him Roger Rabbit because he had laid on his ear wrong in the womb and it was flat when he was born. It's just about normal now. NoonTime has a set of legs to die for. I love straight legs in my donkey's. His body is short, with a good topline, round rear end and he has the prettiest little head. I think NoonTime would make a great performance donkey. His dam did really well with driving. If you're looking for a spotted jack or a great little gelding you might want to check out NoonTime.

Kase looks a lot like his sire when he was a foal, short, and wide bodied, nice round hindquarters, and good legs. Kase is a true black showing no sign of a stripe. Hanky Panky is a really nice little jack. I have been reluctent to put him up for sale, but I just don't need another jack. His pedigree is full of dark brown and spotted donkeys, going back to the original imports. Hank is a really neat donkey with a real alert and showy attitude. He is trained to show in halter, trail, and showmanship, and he loves to show. He loads, clips, has great manners, and loves to go places. He isn't going to get very tall, and should make someone an excellent herdsire. Hank has a beautiful head and awesome front and back legs. He is built very drafty, with a wide chest and butt, and a well put together body. He has been hauled to NMDA shows in Oregon, Texas, and Tennessee since he was 6 months, never placing lower than 3rd place in large halter classes, and already winning in trail and showmanship at under a year. If your looking for a really nice herdsire that is already winning in the showring, check out Hanky Panky.

Rowdy and Prudence did it again. This little boy is nice. Epic is as sweet as can be and loves everyone. He has the longest set of ears and always stands so straight and alert. He shows a lot of bone like his sire with that short, square body I love so much. He shows good width between his front and back legs, and is as straight as can be. I didn't think Epic had any color until a few days after birth. He is going to have some white in his ears and a small amount of white on his upper nose. If your looking for a black herd sire with a lot of black in his pedigree, look Epic over. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

His dam stepped on his tail when he was born and he is missing about 1/3 of it, but he doesn't know it. You can see it in one of his pictures. He will make someone a wonderful pet with his temperament! His sorrel highlights are beautiful and really stand out around his ears and face. Sire:  Cody's Pride, Brown &White Spotted

I just aquired this jennet from some people that could no longer keep their donkeys. Keepsake is the sweetest jennet and loves attention. She was bred by a spotted jack about 6-8 months ago, but I do not have an exact breeding date. She was pastured with this jack for that long and they did witness breedings. She is no longer cycling and does look heavy bred. She will come with a breeding certificate to register the foal. Keepsake has a small, pretty head and face. Her spot pattern is the same on both sides and she has big eye rings on both eyes. She has a wide body with good width between her legs. She turns out just a little on one front foot, but she needs her feet trimmed badly. Her topline is nice, although she has her foot resting in the picture and it makes her back look like there is a dip in it. She has a good bite. Keepsake will make a nice addition to your herd. Her registration papers were never sent in by the previous owner but they are up to date and ready to be mailed in so she can be named in your farm name when you register her or I will be glad to register her in my farm name..it is your choice. Keepsake is up to date on her vaccinations and worming. Here is your chance to own two for the price of one! Don't pass her by.

I just aquired this little jack from some people that could no longer keep their donkeys. He has the sweetest, most gentle personality. He is so gentle that the former owners let their grand children sit on him. Nelson, his nickname, has a tiny, pretty little head, an excellent topline with a short back, width between his chest and straight front and back legs, and a nice round rump. Nelson has a pretty spot pattern with small spots on his neck and sides, and big eye rings on both sides. He has a good bite. It was too cool to bathe or clip him when I took these photos. His registration papers were never sent in by the previous owner but they are up to date and ready to be mailed in so he can be named in your farm name when you register him or I will be glad to register him in my farm name..it is your choice. Gold got his name from his conformation and temperament. He is REALLY a nice little donkey and has the potential to do really well for you. His disposition is very quiet, and he will stand forever if you will just brush him. He loves the attention. I think he will do really well in the show ring. Gold is a really straight, heavy boned little jack. His back is very straight, short and wide, and his rear end is a round as they can get. Gold has a really pretty head and face, and shows a lot of confidence in himself. If you're looking for a really nice true black show prospect, or herdsire, come look at Gold. You won't be disappointed.

CrossRoads was born one month early. He was a complete surprise. CrossRoads name came from the Tim McGraw song I heard that morning before I found him, and he was born in the pasture that is basically the crossroad to all my pastures. Fits him perfectly. CrossRoads has a nice square body with a short back, good bone like his sire and dam, straight legs, and a round rear end. His dam has the most gorgeous rump on a donkey I have ever seen. Itsy is bred to Bumpus Farms Bobby, a 32" Brown and White Spotted Jack, for a Spring/Summer 2004 foal.

Babe is a nice drafty jennet bred to Bumpus Farms Bobby, a 32 inch brown and white spotted jack. Her last foal was a brown and white spot out of the same jack. Itsy is a very sweet, friendly jennet and also bred to Bumpus Farms Bobby. Her foal last year was a black and white spot bred the same way. Both of these jennets are very bonded and I would like to sell them together. They are easy breeders and have had no problems foaling. They are heavy bred now and should foal in the next couple months. If I don't sell them soon, I will foal them out here and they will be sold at a later time. I am trying to downsize some of my herd because I am showing a lot this year and need to make room for my other foals.

Lite is going to be a stocky boy. He has a gorgeous, short, wide head, straight legs with good bone, and a good hip. Lite is a pretty mover like his sire, travels straight, and has a lot of presence about him. At this time Lite's bite is slightly off so I am pricing him at a gelding price. Sire:  Bowtie, 56" Black/Brown/White Spotted  Bowtie, Tie's sire
Dam:  Wagenseller's Charlotte, 59" Black w/light points

At 11 months, Tie was an honest 53 inches. She is going to be a big girl. Tie won 3rd place at the National Donkey show in Shelbyville in halter against all sexes, 2 and under, in a very large class. She has a beautiful head, nice eyes, straight legs, and very large ears. Tie will make a great performance donkey. She is athletic, built right, and can really move well. The only reason I am selling her is because I raise miniature donkey's and don't have enough time for her. She loves attention and has a kind disposition. Her price is firm.

34.5" Spotted Gelding
DOB:  8/26/95

Swede is an easy-going, sweet and loving gelding. He has super straight legs, a pretty head, soft eyes, and a gorgeous spot pattern that is even on both sides. Swede's good nature has allowed us to keep him with any donkey we want. He clips, loads, and does tricks, just as long as you remember to give him hugs every now and then.

News Flash!!! Swede wins Grand National Spotted Gelding Champion at the ACOSA Nationals in Shelbyville, Tennessee, June 29th, 2002!!

I was blackmailed into selling Swede to my webmaster who threatened to draw mustaches on all my donkeys' faces if I refused!! I only gave in because my spoiled rotten gelding, Monty, could not stand for me to go near Swede.

Dam:  Hauenstein's Lil' Darlin, 31.25" Dark Brown

Slippers is a tiny little girl, at only 26 inches as of 1 year old. Doesn't matter though, she thinks she is as big as our bulls. She is a show off, loves to go for walks, and usually draws a crowd because she is so tiny. Slippers has a full pedigree, with browns and spots. She has nice straight legs and a pretty head. We'll have to give her awhile to grow up, before we breed her.

News Flash!!! Slippers was 3rd at the Nationals in the ACOSA Spotted Jennet Class with 19 entries!!!

Grand Sire:  Fox Farms Tres, 33" Gray/White Spot
Grand Dam:  Fox Farms Lacey J, 32" Black

Sammy is a super tiny and correct little boy. He has one dark foot and one white foot on both front and back feet and has only half a black cross on his back. His spots have a very distinguished brown pattern and his legs are dark gray. Copycat Sam was named after his mom because he copied her spotting pattern. Both his parents are correct and have a drafty built. We expect him to be built the same. He will be a tough competitor in the ACOSA spotted classes because of his outstanding coat pattern.

Sire:  Hartman Donkeys Trenton, 33.5" Brown/White Spot
Dam:  Pudge & Jane's Foxy, 32.5" Gray-Dun

Marigold's sire, Hartman Donkeys Trenton, a 33.5" Brown/White Spot, is one of the nicest spotted jacks in the country. She has a nice rear, pretty head and face, and is about as sweet as they come....never meets a stranger. Marigold is bred to my spotted herd sire, Short Spots Luigi, a 30" dark brown and white spot jack. He is small, compact and drafty, with an excellent easy going disposition, his legs are straight and correct in front and rear, and he has a gorgeous head.&nbspLouie has 271 ancestors in his pedigree going back to the original imports. I will consider a trade for another jennet as this jennet is closely related to my new herd sire. Marigold is due to foal in May of 2003...see photos below of the jack she is bred to.
